off todayToday is minimal day. Mostly because I have hit the sickness wall and really don’t have energy to think, or type. We are both still dealing with virus complications. It’s bad when everyone in the household has it because we’re just tired and cranky and don’t want to really do anything.   Here’s what’s happened the last couple of days- minimally.

Sue has worked on the baskets for the chestnut trees. She’s been working on them as she is able, and now just has one more bottom to put on. The chestnut trees arrived – one day this week. I can’t remember off the top of my head – maybe Wednesday evening. They were in good condition despite the thrashing that the box received in transit. I thought they would be saplings, but these have to be at least a couple of years old.  They are in temporary pots at the moment on the walkway by my lemon tree. Want to keep them protected from the winds we’ve been having. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll feel alive enough to get them more settled in.

Mine, the goat, has been staying inside the shed during the winds… too afraid to come out. Sue thought he was really sick, but now she thinks he’s just been frightened by something during the winds. Taco George has been loving the attention that he’s been getting, since Mine doesn’t want to come out and hog it all.

And, quite frankly, that’s about all I know. I’m sure there are other small things that I’ve forgotten, but that’ll have to be it for now – until I can trade in for a new brain anyway. Until then, as always~

Today’s Weather: Warmish, cloudyish, windyish. Just rather an ishy day. Currently, 5:04 p.m., it is 60°.  High was 67°, low tonight – 41°.  Sunset at 6:29, sunrise 6:28. That’s pretty close to half and half!

Egg Report: Thursdays numbers are pretty good: 2 Duck eggs, 22 Chicken eggs, no goose. Today: 1 goose, 2 ducks, and 26 chicken eggs. We are slowly, slowly climbing. We might take a step back every now and then, but over all our totals are going up.
