You know how I always say something to the effect of “Not sure what the rest of the week holds for us, but we’ll be sure to let you know!”? Well, that statement couldn’t be more true than today. I came home from work later than normal, and there were all these huge trucks around our driveway and cones up, tractors, rollers, asphalt layers – I actually said out loud, “What in the heck is going on?” As far as I knew, we didn’t have any work planned. I was completely surprised by what I saw.

Seems that a road crew was doing some residential work nearby and had a lot of extra asphalt, so one of the owners was out trolling for people to purchase their work at a discounted rate, just so they didn’t lose money by not using the asphalt that was trucked down from Tucson. So, Sue decided to take them up on their offer. Win-win for everyone. It is almost 8pm now and they just finished about 45 minutes ago. They were actually going up to one of our neighbors to do some work for them! I can’t believe they are still working tonight. Below is the project progression, in photos. That’ll be my post for today because I still actually have some bookkeeping to take care of – I got distracted by all the commotion. Sure looks really nice all done. I told Sue that it makes me want to plant things… she thought that was weird. Anyway, as always~
