It feels like it’s been weeks, but really it has only been one. You’ve just missed us that much! So much has happened… I have no idea where we’ll start. I have no photos; really, I just checked. So I turned around and took one. Hey, that’s Pops! Yes, that is right. The Parental Units are here for a visit – through Easter and, as long as it doesn’t snow any time this week, they’re taking the 5th wheel back home and seeing if my brother will do some work on the water tank and other little things that have been bothering them. Sure is nice to have them with us for Holy Week. Dad asked me what we have planned for them, and my answer was, “Probably more church than you’re used to!” We don’t make them go- but they like to hear Sue play the organ, so go they shall. Anyway, that has nothing to do with the update, more to let everyone back home know that they made it here safely. Continue reading

It is late on a Friday night, and I know it seems that we’ve disappeared; however, in reality, I just seem to have bitten off more than I can chew at the moment. This Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, our choir is doing a Cantata at all three worship services, I volunteered to create the slides this Sunday and next. What was I thinking? Well, I’m done with the first Sunday now, so – if you’ll be a bit more patient with me – tomorrow night I’ll catch you up on the goings on down at the farm. (How ’bout all those prepositions?) Thanks much. We’ll be back soon! ‘Night.
I’ve been away for over a week now and it seems like forever! My plane will get into Phoenix at almost 8pm and I’ll have an over 3 hour drive home. Right now, I am thinking I’ll make the drive home because I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed tonight! While I’ve been away, my mind was often wandering home- especially during the exercises we would do at some of the class sessions.
It’s Friday, y’all! (Can you tell I’m in Texas?) I am still out traveling for work, so am making things up on the fly. How have I been doing so far? It is 5:30 in Austin and I’m headed out to dinner soon. Sue has been really good at keeping me updated on the goings on at home. Unfortunately, the AirBnB that my friend Jeanie and I are staying at is having issues with its WiFi. So, I’m trying to work on my iPhone Hotspot, but my connectivity here in the city is really spotty. So, I think I’m going to have to type this up on my laptop, and then finish it on the phone. Please bear with me.
Here we are… Wednesday’s blog post appearing on a Thursday. Thanks for hanging in and waiting for this amazing update! It’s actually been rather quiet for a while around here. Which, in many ways, is a good thing. While the weather has been rather nice and warm this week, the last two days the winds have been blowing in some clouds from somewhere – but there is no rain predicted. So – we’ll just see what the future holds over the next couple of days.
Hey guys! Thanks for tuning in for a rather boring update. I guess I shouldn’t say “boring”, maybe just prosaic. Nothing really super, duper exciting happened… but we made headway on our list! Saturday started off nice and calm and warm – so we thought we’d head outside and take care of some tasks. Wondering how we did? Read on.
Today, when I stopped by to make a bank deposit for work, the cute little teller asked me, “Snow – are you for or against?” It was kind of an odd little question, but seeing as we still have snow in the mountains, and are expecting more at week’s end, I understood where she was coming from. I’d bet that the “for” vs. “against” are about 50/50 in Sierra Vista. There are a whole lot of people who have said, “I didn’t move to Arizona to be cold!” There are the snowbirds who are here to get away from all that white stuff. Then there are people like me who say, “If it melts off by noon, I’m for it.” It just looks pretty!
It’s Wednesday, and you know that means a quick up-date so we can get to choir rehearsal. Wanted to talk about a few things from the weekend. Sometimes it’s funny how the days run together, and I have a hard time remembering exactly when something specific happened. I have to think about what else was going on to keep the happenings in their proper position. Let’s see how I do. Chances are, I may have talked about this, but, perhaps not.
