As I mentioned, we have had some interesting sightings over the past week. The one on the left here, (not my photo, but taken here in Hereford) was from yesterday evening. Lenticular clouds are always so cool looking. What’s a Lenticular cloud? “(Latin: Lenticularis lentil-shaped, from lenticula lentil) are stationary clouds that form mostly in the troposphere, typically in perpendicular alignment to the wind direction. They are often comparable in appearance to a lens or saucer.” Our other sightings were fauna.

I thought I’d update you on our coyote problem. A hint: it’s been solved! To explain that, I’d like to introduce you to our friend Al. let’s rant on coyotes

When you walk onto the porch in the afternoon and the resident road runner is sheltering under the patio table, you might have a coyote problem. My first exposure to coyotes and road runners may be similar to yours: Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. You can see them here as they appeared in the “To Beep or Not to Beep” episode from the Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies shorts (created by Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese). Every time I see our Road Runner, the theme song goes through my head… and it will for you now too! To the novice Christmas participant, this may seem a rather late greeting; however, we are still in the midst of Christmas. There are twelve days, you know, leading up to Epiphany on the 6th – this is Christmastide! So we are still wishing you joys of the season. And, tonight, hoping that your New Year’s Eve revels are safe and fun, spent with your close family and/or friends. As for us, we’ll be home with the chickens, ducks, geese, goats, dogs and cats. Probably in bed by 8:30 pm Arizona Time.
